 CompuApps (Santa Clara, Calif.) DriveEraserThis program works well: it efficiently wipes the drive, via various means of overwriting. The user can choose whether to overwrite with ones, zeroes, or a more sophisticated scheme. Multiple overwrites can be done, in order to addresss the lingering-data concern of residual (remanent) magnetism on magnetic data-storage devices.
