Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /backup/qa/www/sub/rss/product.php on line 32

This program works well: it efficiently wipes the drive, via various means of overwriting. This is essential for anyone who stores sensitive data: financial firms, consulting firms, health-care organizations, law firms, records-storage firms, research organizations, government entities, and others. Once the wiping has been done with CompuApps DriveEraser, you can confidently release the drive (or the computer containing that drive) to an asset-disposal firm or other surplus-goods disposer.

The program is easy to install, reliable, and effective. I have found that it runs well on Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows 2003 Server Standard, Windows 2003 Datacenter Server, Windows 2003 Enterprise Server (including R2), Windows XP Professional, and Windows 2000 Professional. I highly recommend it.

Michael Frind, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
